Hello 5th Grade Band Students and Parents, The students will begin their band journey this year. It will be an exciting one with wonderful sounds and experiences. You will be amazed at what they can accomplish in such a short time. We start from scratch in band and take time to learn/review musical terms and get to know our instruments before we begin to test our skills. So, be patient and encouraging. Once we get going on our instruments, we will be using Smart Music as our practice tool. This program houses our pieces and assignments. The students will learn how to use this program in class.
